What does it mean to work for many years in a company that produces technology in the shape of components destined for main aviation engines?
After the 2016 Engineering Recognition Day ceremony – during which he received the Career Prize for his technical skills, refined in over 40 years of activity, and was awarded a standing ovation from his many colleagues present – we had the pleasure of a chat with Domenico Dalle Crode, Advanced Lead Engineer-Mechanical/Component.
A lifetime initially marked by a tragic family bereavement which caused him, immediately after finishing school, to need to get a humble job, “handling the machinery”. From there he worked his way to becoming – on the verge of retiring – a key reference point in the Engineering Research and Development team. Willingness, passion, dedication to his job, interest and the ability to “always keep the ball rolling forward”, have all featured strongly in his career, as have his numerous friendships with colleagues.
Anyone among us may have a story to tell: let’s have a look together at Domenico’s story.
When listening to other people’s stories becomes a learning experience. Thanks for your generosity, Domenico!
